Full Disclosure

While I'm ecstatic over recent health news, I'm also terrified.

It's tucked so far inside, that I barely have to make an effort to conceal these feelings.

I don't want this fear to hinder progress in any way.

Hoping that treating an underlying condition will simply demolish MCS.

What if it doesn't?

What if, after a year of time and moneyI am still unable use the words 'quality' and 'life' in the same sentence?

Damaged, weak, and tired.

But not giving up.

I read your previous post about the diet but am confused as to what you can actually eat. Is it primarily a raw food diet? My co-worker cannot eat Dairy and Gluten since she has allergies but no sugar, no caffeine, no canned or dried fruit? I am wondering what is left? Does this mean you are going Vegan?

Good question. This is exactly why I planned on waiting for a minth to begin. I can eat organic chicken and beef. NO pork, but we gave up pork in December anyway. All veggies, and oatmeal. I figure I'm going to make my own bread as Exekiel (sp?) is quite expensive, and have salads with chicken everyday. I can still eat chilli, or soups/stews, and the supper part will most likely be easier. I just don't know what I'll eat throughout the day since you aren't able to use jam, honey, or peanut butter, and very little butter daily. I can eat goats cheese, milk and yogurt. Now that I'm typing all of this out, it seems like a lot, but I have to have all of this crap stocked in my house. I can see the need to cheat if not properly prepared. Dr. L says that most people lose a substantial amount of weight (especially if sugars were your thing). I'll be the judge of this. All I know is that I better lose something for giving up sugar! It's best, and the onbly thing that will help, but I am really glad it's only for 4 months....whew!

Opps, I forgot to add ...no cereal. (This is a big one for me) I guess I do have choices, just not the same ones I've become accustomed to. And I know that I would never make a decision like this unless it was the last resort. If my posts appear violent in nature...you know why :).
